Welcome to Bailey Creates
Exploring Creativity, Community and Wellbeing Through Art

Hello and welcome to the Bailey Creates! I’m Bailey, a passionate visual artist, creative facilitator & Project Coordinator based in Greater Manchester, UK. This blog is a space where I share insights, stories, and updates about my creative journey and the diverse projects I’m involved in.

As a visual artist, I specialise in digital illustrations while exploring a range of mediums like embroidery, collage, painting, and print-making.

Community Projects

I coordinate visual art projects within diverse communities and collaborate on various art provision, actively engaging in community outreach.

Creative Learning

I design and deliver educational workshops that link exhibitions or historical themes with the education curriculum for local schools.

Art for Wellbeing

I’m passionate about exploring the intersection of art and mental health. Using art as a tool to promote wellbeing and healing.

Project Management

I have a proven track record in project management and a passion for empowering communities through the arts. As Programme Coordinator at Cartwheel Arts, I lead diverse visual art projects with a focus on Digital Inclusion. My role combines strategic planning, budget management, and the coordination of engaging workshops. By blending strong organizational skills with a creative mindset, I’m able to bring meaningful artistic projects to life, fostering connection and inclusivity through the power of art.

Partnership Development

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a variety of partners, from voluntary organisations and community groups to educational institutions. Building and maintaining these relationships has been such a rewarding part of my work, and it reflects my commitment to making project management collaborative and inclusive. I truly value the connections that help bring great ideas to life.

Safeguarding

In my roles, I’ve gained extensive experience working within Adult and Children’s Safeguarding frameworks, always prioritising the safety and well-being of vulnerable participants. I’m committed to safeguarding, having completed training such as Safeguarding Adults Level 1 and ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children.’ These courses have given me the knowledge and skills needed to keep vulnerable adults and children safe across all the projects I manage and facilitate.

Fundraising & Reporting

I have hands-on experience in fundraising and reporting to funders, successfully securing project grants from a range of sources like public funding, private trusts, and the Arts Council. In my current roles, I’m involved in every step of the fundraising process, from researching the right funding opportunities to crafting engaging grant applications. I work hard to communicate the goals and impact of each project, ensuring that the needs of funders are met while highlighting the value we bring to the community.
